Default What do Acupuncturists do?

Acupuncture is an ancient Chinese treatment form, which involves inserting of needles at vital points on the body to treat variety of physical conditions. An acupuncturist has a good knowledge of the use of acupuncture needles, analysing symptoms and prescribing acupuncture treatment for their clients according to their health conditions, lifestyle, emotional balance, etc. The clients of acupuncture therapists are usually patients suffering from joint pain, back pain, high blood pressure, migraines, substance abuse, arthritis, etc.

With knowledge of pressure points, an acupuncturist can relieve pain, addictions, and other problems by inserting fine, sterilized, stainless steel needles at the right areas, and at sufficient pressure to induce stimulation required for curing purposes. An acupuncturist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment options chosen. The aim of the acupuncturist is to restoring health and vitality by releasing energy blocking factors. An acupuncturist must have a sound knowledge of physical energies and energy blocking factors, to be able to prescribe needle therapy for his/her clients.
