Default Qualifications required to become an Advocates' Clerk (Scotland)

You need good standard of general education, with good communication skills in English. You need three to five Highers with English. While not essential, many advocates' clerks now have a degree in law. It will be beneficial if you have experience working in a Court, delivering secretarial or administration services. While on the job, you can opt for continuing training, which your employers will usually provide.
