Default What does an Airport Baggage Handler do?

Airport baggage handlers load and unload luggage to/from aircrafts. They also collect, sort and check luggage. You use labelling system to sort baggage and to make sure luggage is transferred to the right aircraft. You transfer the luggage to conveyors for passengers to collect. You will also transfer luggage from check-in to the departure gates. You also manage the aircraft cargo area, runways and warehouse. You also are responsible for basic routine maintenance.

Experienced handlers also have additional duties like training new handlers, and explaining working of new equipments to them. You will work on shifts and will need to work on holidays and weekends.
