Default Qualifications needed to become an Airport Baggage Handler

There aren't many educational qualifications to meet, but you need to be at least 18 years old and need to go through security checks. You need good levels of physical fitness. Experience in warehouse operations, operating a forklift, etc can be helpful. You need to be available for shifts, weekends and holidays. You also need to work in almost all weather conditions.

Once you join, your employer will provide on the job training for handling conveyor belts, using equipments and machinery. You will also learn about barcode scanners, operating airport vehicles and lifting equipments. Training in health and safety can also be there. You can also work your way to NVQ in a managing aviation operations on the ground.
