Qualifications Required to Becoming an Army Officer?
You need to meet certain qualifications to be absorbed as an army officer. You need to meet the nationality requirements, age, physical fitness, and educational qualifications. The minimum age is 17 years and 9 months and maximum age limit is 28 years. The upper age limit is variable, depending on your role (physicians and nurses of 28 years plus age are appointed). The educational qualifications include at least five GCSEs (A-C), with English, maths and science. You will also need at least two A levels.
Army nurse, dental officer, medical professional, etc have their own set qualifications, in addition to the general qualifications to be absorbed into the army. The selection process lasts for three days and tests your physical and mental capabilities are tested. If you serve army for sufficiently long period, you could find promotions, even in absence of additional educational qualifications required to moving into officer posts.
