Default What Skills are Needed to Become an Army Officer?

An army officer always has to be a man/woman of commanding personality, with the ability to lead and motivate. Good communication skills, excellent communication skills, discipline, ability to work long hours at combat scenes, and willingness to join the combat teams are essential requisites. The working conditions are hard and you may not see your family for several months at a time. British army is also deployed outside UK, to war zones and peacekeeping missions.

Ability to stay self confident, decision making capacities, IT and technical skills, etc are also required. Good levels of fitness and the mental capacity to see through tough situations like battlefields and a above all a strong sense of patriotism are required to be successful as an army officer.
