Default How Much Do Army Soldiers Earn?

New recruits start earning £ 12,572 a year. Privates earn between £15,677 and £20,600. Higher ranks can earn up to £40,650 a year. Incentives or additional benefits are available for soldiers deployed for overseas duties. Married soldiers also get housing allowances. Increments in salary are often passed by the government and you don't have anything to increase your earnings, other than trying to qualify for higher ranks.
