Default What do Aromatherapists do?

Aromatherapy is the technique of using aromas or scents of flowers, herbs, spices, fruits, minerals etc to create a sense of wellbeing in persons. An aromatherapist helps his/her clients achieve a sense of health and well being by exposing them to the aromas most suited for their specific physical and mental conditions.

An aromatherapy practitioner has a good knowledge of the different scents, aromatherapy oils, etc and their effects on physical and mental conditions. They study in detail about the lifestyle and medical history of their clients. They let the clients smell the different scents. They also give partial or full body massages using single or combination aromatherapy oils.

Aromatherapy now is gaining popularity as a practical alternative medicine or complementary medicine practice. Hospitals, hospice centres, etc now use the services of aromatherapists.
