Default What does an Art Gallery Curator do?

An art gallery curator will manage the collection of paintings and objects displayed in an art gallery. The displays or exhibits can include paintings, sculptures or historically important objects. Art gallery curators are generally required to identify, list and categorize paintings and other artefacts. You are also required to keep the exhibits in the right conditions. You will also organise displays or conduct exhibitions, answer visitor queries and give talks to visiting groups. You will also make plans to attract visitors to the gallery. You may also be required to conduct negotiations on funding for paintings and artefacts.
