Default What does a Bank Manager do?

As a bank manager, you will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of running a bank. You may be responsible for one branch or a group of branches of the bank you are employed at. Your responsibilities include maintaining a positive PR, promoting banking products, managing sales processes and maintaining customer relationships. You are responsible for formulating and implementing a workable business plan your branch can use. You are also responsible for monitoring budgets, analysing lending practices, implementing steps to minimise risks and maximising profits.

You also keep the staff members motivated to meet and exceed targets. Depending on specific situations, you will take decisions for individual and business customers. Your requirement can also include making sure employees stick to the accepted policies of the bank. You will also be responsible for keeping a good image for the bank, through public appearances and by addressing the press.
