Default What skills are needed to become a Barrister?

A barrister needs to represent his/her clients in the court of law. As a barrister, you should be able to make strong arguments based on legal provisions. You need good understanding of legal provisions and ability to make your points clearly and passionately. You also need to analyse large amounts of information and should be able to make compelling presentations. You need to stay away from being emotionally overwhelmed. Your ability to work under severe pressure is an important skill you must master. You also need discretion, respect to client confidentiality and respect for law.
