Default What does a Beauty Therapist do?

A beauty therapist or a beautician helps her (or his) clients to enhance their appearance by using variety of beauty therapies and procedures. There are a variety of treatments that beauticians do – facials, eyebrow shaping, manicure, pedicure, cleansing, hair removal (by waxing, threading or electrolysis), etc. A beauty therapist is knowledgeable about skin care, treatments, hair and body colouring, etc. In case of any serious skin conditions or health conditions, they'd refer clients to physicians or dermatologists.

A beauty therapist may also be experienced in other areas like massages, aromatherapy, reflexology, etc. The duties of a beauty therapist can also include scheduling appointments, keeping client records, and more.
