Default Qualifications needed for a Bus or Coach Driver

You need a driving licence that allows you to drive passenger vehicles. Passenger Carrying Vehicle (PCV) license is the most important requirement. You should also be physically fit and should meet the requirements set by the company recruiting you. You should be at least 21 years of age. If you have EU driving license, most companies can help you get a PCV licence. If you choose to get PCV license independently, you can get trained by a local driving school.

According to new EU norm, you need to have a Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in addition to the PCV. You can also benefit from NVQ in passenger transport, which you can work on while you are on the job.
