Default What are the Qualifications needed to Becoming a Civil Service Executive Officer?

Civil Service Executive Officers are usually promoted from lower grades, while in same cases there are direct recruitments to the post as well. The qualifications are different for different departments. The basic educational qualification can include two A levels or equivalent. While educational qualifications are not of the prime concern, you will be asked to attend aptitude tests and interviews. You will also apply in prescribed forms, and the experiences you have from various areas will be considered.

Candidates with honours degree in any subject with first or second class can apply for Fast Stream Development Programme, a four-year training program that can qualify you for higher management level posts. It is open for UK nationals only. Some jobs are open to citizens from the commonwealth countries.
