Default What Skills are Needed for a Civil Service Executive Officer?

Management skills are of prime concern to civil service executive officers. You should possess strong leadership qualities. Good communication skills and motivation skills are needed to succeed in this area. Problem solving capabilities, decision making capacities, etc are also needed. You will need to work with numbers and people. The confidentiality of the data you handle should be preserved. Knowledge of using computer programs, administrative skills, database management and records keeping ability are also essential. You will interpret complex data and laws. The most important skills of all is assertiveness and ability to apply rules fairly.
