Default What does a Community Education Coordinator do?

A community education coordinator makes available different educational programs for a community and markets these courses to the community. That is, he/she is responsible for bringing the recreational or practical courses on all different stuff to local community colleges and gives enough exposure for the courses so that community members can make use of them. There are different kinds of community that you would focus on. You would work with young people looking to acquire career skills or with families looking for specific skills ranging from knitting to gardening & fruit growing.

You will conduct researches on the community to identify the educational deprivation it currently faces. You will then identify the courses suited to meet the requirements of the community. You will then coordinate with colleges or schools to offer these courses in the community of your choice.

You are also responsible for taking up the administrative tasks, budgeting and financial planning. You will also recruit tutors and arrange facilities for the classes.
