Default Qualifications required to become a Conference/Exhibition Organiser

Employers don't generally look for any academic qualifications. If you have experience volunteering or organising events, managing places like art galleries, and experience in sales/marketing, etc can help. You will also benefit from your experience in administration, budgeting, etc. If you have a degree, diploma or certificate in subjects like events management, hospitality, etc, you can easily find volunteering opportunities, from where you can gain significant work experience. If you have experience organising events in your personal/social life, it can also help.

You can also join an event management company as an administrator or an assistant to conference and exhibition organiser. You will gain skills and knowledge to undertake the responsibilities of organising an event. Once you are with an events management company, you can gain further qualifications like NVQ Levels 2, 3 and 4 in Events.
