Default What does a construction manager do?

Construction managers supervise construction projects and make sure the projects are completed within time and within budget. You are fully responsible for the management of the project. You are responsible for overseeing safety, meeting timelines and completing the projects within the budget. You may be responsible for the whole building project if you are at a small site, whereas in bigger sites, you will be handling one section and reporting to a manager on the progress of works under your control.

You will plan the project schedule with architects, clients, etc. You will also oversee recruiting, office arrangements and the whole operations. You will also update the progress into your computer for future reporting to the clients. You will check the expenses and monitor the speed of the work. You will also make sure the buildings meet the safety standards and legal requirements.
