Default What does a Coroner do?

A coroner is a judicial officer, responsible for looking into the causes of unnatural-suspecting deaths or violent deaths. As a coroner, your responsibilities can include investigating deaths reported to you, applying logic and investigative procedures to ascertain the cause of death, order post-mortem when needed, etc. You will also conduct inquiries and note if it was not a normal death. You will also report the death to the Registrar of Births, Marriages and Deaths. You will also make sure the procedures are kept according to existing laws. You may also have other officers working under you.
