What does a Court Legal Adviser do?
A court legal adviser advises judge and jurors on law. Your duty is just to explain the possible sentencing and tell about the previous occasions, when cases of similar nature were tried. You don't judge a case. Your duty is limited to providing objective explanation of legal provisions. Your day to day duties can be variable. You will be required to prepare court sessions. You will also make sure documents, exhibits, etc relevant to the cases are ready. You will also read charges to the court.
You will also advise when defendants ask for legal aid. You collect data and statistics. Your duties also include providing training to magistrates.
