Data Entry is a very popular job across the globe. The main role of a Data Entry Clerk is to update and maintain records in computer. Your major responsibility is to read hand written or printed records and type them into the computer. In simple words it is the transferring of paper based records to the computer to keep it safe and secure. There is no fear of losing the documents. The nature of work is the same but the matters to type or maintain differs. Most important works of a Data Entry Clerk in various organizations include put all the details of customers opening new bank account, enter classifieds adverts in newspaper, update patients medical records, check students results in schools as well as in colleges, process sales invoice etc.

Nowadays each organization has certain software packages that makes the work of Data Entry Clerk more easy.
