What do Divers do?
Divers are usually seen as saviours, rescuing drowning people in a windy night of ship wrecks. Conducting rescue operations is one of the many jobs of divers, but they can specialise in any one area – like recreational diving or diving for conducting underwater engineering operations for offshore oil and gas exploration and production companies. Diving for scientific research purposes is another option. Underwater repairs, installations and demolitions etc can also be required, if you work for offshore oil and gas exploration companies.
Diving for scientific research purposes is another option – you work with scientists and researchers and collect samples of flora and fauna from the deeper parts of sea. For media, you might be diving for taking photographs – a really compelling and rewarding thing to do. Police can also use divers to find bodies of suspected drowned persons. Scuba divers also make a living by teaching travellers the techniques of diving and helping them go deep into the clear waters. Diving is a challenging sport and great job to do – not everyone can do that.
