Default What skills are needed to become a Diver?

Divers dive into waters of uncertainty and live a risky life. Excellent diving skills and understanding of the waters, about the potential threats of creatures, etc are needed. Excellent stamina, swimming capacities, calmness, ability to follow orders, ability to anticipate risks & avoiding them and willingness to go to the dirty & hazardous conditions are all essential. You gain the skills with experience and it is always better to have experience as scuba diver or inshore diving, before you take up offshore diving. You will be required to work alone or with a big team. In both cases, you should be able to clearly understand instructions.

There are also companies that specialise in offshore diving and offer underwater engineering works for oil companies. Working for such companies will require specialist training in such areas like underwater welding, repairing, construction and demolition. The most essential aspect is your levels of physical fitness, stamina and swimming skills.
