Default What qualifications are needed to becoming a door supervisor

You don't need any special academic qualifications, but need to have SIA license. You can get this licence after completing a certificate course in Door Supervision. Level 2 National Certificate in Door Supervision lasts is a 30-hour course and you don't need to have any special qualifications to join the program. You must be at least 18 years of age, physically fit, and be able to manage the demands of the task. Some employers also let you take this license test after you join as a Door Supervisor and start working in a team.

You will be needed to handle conflicts and physical intervention can be required at times. Strong communication skills are necessary, and you should be able to handle violent situations in a professional manner. As such, your experience of any kind, working in demanding situations can be of help while you work as a door supervisor.
