Default What skills are needed to become a Driving Instructor?

The primary skill is excellent driving capabilities. You will also need thorough knowledge and understanding of traffic rules. You will benefit from your capabilities of delivering clear instructions to your students. Your ability to tailor your teaching style according to the capabilities of your students is also important. You will also need to stay calm and should be able to correct the mistakes your students make. You need patience and professional demeanour. You will also benefit from a good knowledge of basic car maintenance.
