Default What does an Entertainment Agent do?

An entertainment agent, also known as a talent agent manages and promotes the careers of entertainers like musicians, actors, writers, fashion models, etc. Your responsibilities include negotiating on behalf of your clients on compensation, opportunities, etc. You will make sure your clients get the best possible opportunities, which will further their careers. Established TV & film stars usually have their careers managed by internationally reputed agencies. You can manage up and coming stars and fairly well established entertainers.

You can be self employed and can work for musicians, actors, etc looking for a big opening. You will handle bookings, contracts, travel, publicity, media enquiries, etc on behalf of your clients. You will also keep regular contacts with professionals in the entertainment industry – like directors, musicians, etc, so that you can pitch your clients at the appropriate venue. You can also win new clients by scouting for talents at whichever venues possible.
