Default What Qualifications are needed to become an Estates Officer?

An HNC in housing or similar qualification is what most employers will be looking for. You also need to have at least five GCSEs (A-C). Some posts also require you to have degree in surveying, housing management or qualification as technical or chartered surveyors.

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) or Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) has different programs. To qualify for RICS programs, you usually need an RICS accredited degree in related subject (in surveying). When looking to be qualified through CIOB, you need an accredited honours degree.

You can also further your qualifications while delivering your services as an estates officer and work your way to promotions. There will be tests for practical assessment and interviews to be appointed as chartered surveyor.
