Default What does a Farm Manager do?

Farm managers work in farms and make sure the farms are professionally managed and efficiently run. They work for farm owners & tenants, farm businesses, universities, etc. The farm manager may be managing the whole or a part of the farm. Your responsibilities include recruiting and managing staff to make sure the farm produce, livestock, etc are kept in the right manner. Your duties can be variable according to the type of farm. In all cases, you are responsible for the efficient running of the farm. You will also oversee buying and selling of crops & livestock. You will also keep records of buying and selling.

In smaller farms, you may be handling the manual jobs yourself, while in bigger companies, you will be managing the staff.
