Default What Does a Farm Secretary Do?

A farm secretary runs the business of managing a farm, offering support to farmers and farm managers. The post can also be known as agricultural or rural business administrator. You are responsible for keeping records of crops, livestock, and overall management of the farming activity under your control. You will also plan and work to getting subsidies available from the government.

Bookkeeping is another responsibility, where you are responsible for keeping records, filing tax papers, and managing finances. You will also oversee purchase and maintenance of farming equipments and other supplies. It is also your responsibility to make sure the farming activities are within the legal provisions, environmental & safety norms.

It is the responsibility of the farm secretary to manage the farmers, managers and the activities at the farm. It is also his/her responsibility to keep records of financial activities, legal provisions etc. You can work exclusively for one farm or can have more farms.
