Default What skills are needed for Film/Video Editor?

A film/video editor should have excellent knowledge of working with video editing software. More than the technical knowledge, it is the creativity, sense of timing and visual awareness is what count. You will have excellent communication skills, teamwork capabilities and ability to taking initiative. You should be able to work for long hours, over time and at short notice because of the nature of the job. You need high levels of concentration and should be able to meet tight deadlines. This is a job that requires an abundance of technical skills and creativity at the right mix.
