Default What Qualifications are needed to become a Financial Services Customer Adviser?

Your telephonic skills and good interview skills are needed. You need computer knowledge and customer service experience. You will be tested for telephone and computer operating skills. You will need good educational qualifications. No specific qualifications are prescribed by recruiters. Your sales skills, people management skills, etc are all important. Your qualifications in English and math can be a plus, although degree or qualifications in any subject is OK.

There are some courses like NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Contact Centre Techniques, which can be advantageous. However, no such qualifications are in the prescribed basic qualifications. You need good general education. While on the job, you can pursue further qualifications in Contact Centre Operations, Retail Financial Services, etc.
