Forensic Computer Analysts use variety of tools – both software and hardware to extract data from hard discs, which may have used for illegal activities like hacking, sending spam emails, political or industrial espionage, terrorist activities, child pornography, etc. The data will be there even if the hard discs are formatted, damaged or encrypted. Forensic Computer Analysts report each stage of their investigation to higher authority, police, or other clients as per the requirements.
