Default What does a Franchise Owner do?

A franchise owner is a self employed person who has bought a franchise of an established business brand (the franchiser). As a franchisee, you act as a business owner or self employed professional, overseeing all different aspects of running the business. You will also benefit from the brand image already built by the franchiser.

You start this business by paying an initial fee and by signing agreements. You will get support in the form of marketing and use of a well known brand. Franchising is one of the fastest methods of building businesses. The franchising company provides you with marketing materials, training, etc as and when required. It is also to be noted that most of the equipment – computers, furniture, electrical equipments etc needed for operating the business will be supplied by the franchiser.

Franchise business is available in almost all industries – shopping, food stores, parcel delivery, etc are a few of them.
