A freight forwarder will be dealing with different parties and hence require excellent communication skills – both verbal and written. Attention to detail, diplomacy, organisational skills, etc are also needed. Basic computers skills are essential. Also required are good mathematical skills. Geography knowledge is also essential. You may be required to work long hours and odd hours and thus you will need good physical stamina to stand the demands of the job. You will also benefit from customer support knowledge.
