Default What Skills are needed for a GP Practice Manager?

The most important skills needed by a GP Practice manager is organisational and communication skills. The ability to manage people, motivate them and to lead them is the primary requirement. You will be dealing with people and should identify what motivates them and how to motivate and retain them in your team. You will have attention to detail, good accounting skills and budgeting skills. You will be working with computers, spreadsheets, etc and should have a sound knowledge of what you do. You will also benefit from excellent business sense. You will also be dealing with confidential information and should respect its confidentiality.
