Default What skills are needed to becoming Health Records Clerk?

The most important skill you need is attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. An organised approach to your work is important. You will keep calm under stressful conditions. Good communications skills –verbal & written– are essential. You need to have people management skills, ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically, etc. You will be dealing with confidential information and should respect it as such. Good computer and administrative skills are also needed. You should be able to work as part of a team or individually.
