Default What Qualifications are required to become a Health and Safety Adviser?

Qualification in health and safety is essential qualification. There are full time courses for persons looking for such openings. Experience working for and managing health and safety conditions of construction sites, factories, refineries, etc are also helpful. For employment as a full time health and safety officer, you need advanced qualifications accredited by Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).

For beginners, the qualifications are a bit different. The formal qualifications include NVQ Level 3 in Occupational Health & Safety, Level 3 Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health, etc. You can join many of these courses as distance learning. You can also gain further qualifications while on the job. You can go for certificate or diploma courses in construction safety, environmental management, fire safety, etc.
