Default What Qualifications are needed to become a Health Service Manager?

You are not generally appointed to the post of Health Service Manager. Your direct route is NHS graduate trainee scheme, for which you need a degree (minimum 2:2) or equivalent in health or management subject. You can also work your way up from administrative posts by taking qualification training while on the job. You can also apply for the post of a junior manager if you have degree and management experience.

Your management level experience in any industry can also be helpful while you are looking for health service manager post. Diploma in Managing Health & Social Care, which you can qualify while you are in job, can work for professionals in the health or social care sectors.
