Qualifications required to becoming a Homeopath
You need to have a BSc Honours degree in Homeopathy. Four English universities offer the course. You can also opt for a licentiate diploma, which are available through different private homeopathy colleges. Those are qualifications recognised by Society of Homeopaths. Normally, you will need at least three GCSEs with a science subject. If you have degree in medicine (conventional medicine), you can opt for a post graduate course in homeopathy. If you don't have the qualification, you can benefit from your experience as a complementary therapist. You can also go for private licentiate courses, most of which don't ask for formal academic qualifications.
You may be practicing as an independent practitioner. You can also take further qualifications by opting for continuous professional competency programs offered by the different organisations that oversee homeopathy practices in the United Kingdom. You can attend workshops, training programs, conferences and keep up to date to the latest trends and developments by reading research literature and news.
