Default What skills are needed to become a Hotel Manager?

Hotel mangers need to have business sense and customer skills. They need to posses excellent written and spoken communication in addition to negotiation skills. Team working and leadership qualities are essential. They must be able to motivate and lead the staffs to achieve maximum customers. Person skills are important. They have to build and maintain long term working relationship with colleagues and clients. Tact and diplomacy are required to deal with difficult customers. Problem solving ability and quick decision are essential for better performance. They have to act calmly and efficiently under pressure to meet targets. Enthusiasm and confidence is helpful. Together with these organised way of working and financial skills makes an outstanding hotel manager.
