Default What skills are needed to become a Hotel Receptionist?

A pleasant personality is the biggest asset you can get while looking for an opening as a hotel receptionist. Excellent communication skills – face to face, over the telephone and written – are also essential skills you need to possess. You will have good problem solving skills and management abilities. A friendly voice, tactfulness, ability to retain a calm outlook under pressure situations, ability to manage situations wisely, hands on experience using computers, etc are other skills. You should also be accurate and should possess attention to detail. Ability to use one or more foreign languages also is a plus.
