Default What Skills are needed to become a Housekeeper?

Ability to motivate staff and organise the jobs to be done are important skills. Good communication skills, organisational skills and attention to detail are all important skills you need to possess. The ability to cope with difficult situations, good numerical skills, etc are also needed.

A good understanding of the hotel, club or other holiday centre where you are appointed is also essential. In bigger hotels, there can be a hierarchy, which you can climb by always ensuring the responsibilities are met.
