What skills are needed to become a Housing Officer?
Housing officers need excellent organisational and time management skills. They have to work under pressure meeting targets and deadlines. Good communication skills are important to keep healthy working relationship with clients. Negotiation skill is another expected quality. People skills are important and ability to build and maintain relationship with people from different back ground is helpful. A sound knowledge on various cultural backgrounds is also a necessity. Tact and diplomacy are required to deal with difficult clients. Strong analytical and problem solving skills are essential. Computer literacy and IT skills are another set of requisites. Numerical ability and mathematical skills are needed to develop budgets. Financial skills are also required for proper budget management.
