Default What does Human Resources Officer do?

A human resources officer is responsible for recruitment, training and development of employees to an organisation. All big companies have an HR department, where human resources officers deliver their services. HR professionals look into various responsibilities. You will be recruiting staff after inviting job applications, processing job applications, interviewing applicants, etc. You will also take input from managers of all different departments within the company, to identify requirements of new staff, training programs, etc.

You are also responsible for staff welfare and suggest pay and benefits suited for the employees. It will also be your responsibility to address grievances and complaints. You are also responsible to take any disciplinary action when needed. It is also the responsibility of the HR officers to oversee the health and safety of the employees.

Overall, you also have a thorough understanding of labour laws and you base all your actions on the set procedures and on behalf of both the company and the employees.
