Default What Qualifications are needed to become a Human Resources Officer?

You should have high levels of education in almost any stream. Your experience in recruiting and training personnel of all kinds also is a plus. You can start in almost any position in any company before moving to HR department. You can also start in the HR department as an administrative assistant and work your way up, by gaining the qualifications and experience you need.

Although not essential, you will benefit from BTEC HNC/HND degree or PG degree in HR management. On the job too, you can gain further qualifications like Certificate in Personnel Practice, Employment Relations, etc. There are both full time and part time courses, you can also join the courses by distance education program. You can also work towards NVQ qualifications of different kinds while on the job.
