Default What skills are needed to become an Insurance Broker?

The most important skill is ability to understand your customers' requirements and ability to connect them to the insurance products that are of best choices to them. You will benefit from strong communication skills – both spoken and written, negotiation skills and sales skills. Confident, assertive and straightforward communication is essential. Honesty and willingness to help are essential qualities. Your ability to gather information from various sources, a keen business sense, good mathematical skills, ability to use computers, etc are also needed. You will also need to keep records of communications, and insurance products given to different clients.
