Default What skills are needed for an Insurance Technician?

The most important thing about an insurance technician is good communication skills – both written and spoken. You will also require high levels of customer service skills, and a good understanding of the insurance products available in the market. It will be your responsibility to find the best insurance deals for your clients. You will need to possess qualities like accuracy and attention to detail. You should be good at numerical skills. You need to have good people management skills and tactfulness to deal with customers who are distressed or are agitated. You work as part of a team, wonder under pressurizing situations and need to meet strict deadlines. Administrative skills and confidence of using computer skills also is essential.
