Default What skills are needed to become a Library Assistant?

Library assistants need systematic and organised way of working. They should be able to do well in a team. Good customer skills and patience is needed to deal with a large sum of people. Computer literacy is required. Working knowledge of spreadsheets as well as internet and databases is essential. Telephone manners and good communication skills is needed. Accuracy in minute details of work is needed. Interest towards books and reading is helpful.
