Default What does a Measurement and Control Technician do?

Measurement and Control Technicians work in manufacturing industry, transport and engineering sections. They work with monitoring instruments in production process. They monitor systems and equipments using programmable logic controls (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCSs). They design and calibrate new control systems. Testing of the equipments are also their responsibilities. They gather and analyze feedback data from devices in quality control. Installing, maintaining and repairing of measuring instrument s are also included in heir duties. They will be responsible of supervising crafts people and machine operators. Measurement and Control Technicians usually work in a team under the supervision of a qualified engineer.
