Default Qualifications Required to Becoming a Measurement and Control Technician

Good GCSEs (A-C) is required. A relevant qualification is completion of BTEC course in college level. First class Certificate in Engineering Level, First class Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering Level 2, National Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Electronic or Mechanical Engineering and National Certificate/Diploma in Operations and Maintenance Engineering are essential qualifications for Measurement and Control Technicians. Apprenticeship scheme can be used as a door step. Once started working you can gain further improvements. These include working towards NVQ Performing Engineering Operations at levels 1 and 2, NVQ Engineering Maintenance and Installation Level 2, and Maintenance Level 3, NVQ Maintaining Plant and Systems or Installation and Commissioning. Marine Engineering Operations or Engineering Technical Support Level 3, NVQ Process Engineering Maintenance (Instrument and Control levels 2 and 3), EAL Advanced Diploma in Engineering and Technology can also be done for future enhancements.
